UTRECHT QUARTET DELIVERS ENERGETIC BLEND OF DANCE-PUNK, GARAGE ROCK, AND POP
Chaotic, colorful, and impossible to pin down: 45ACIDBABIES is a musical rollercoaster where anything goes. This four-piece Dutch band – Sob de Geus, Daniel Brem, Robin de Geus, and Nina Miège – delivers a refreshing mix of hip-hop, dance-punk, garage rock, and pop, all with a sharp edge. Frontman Sob’s love for Prince shines through in playful nods to funk and glitter, while the rest of the band brings a heavy dose of raw power and experimentation. Their debut album, Amber19, born out of chaos and adversity, proves these musical adventurers are deeper than they seem. In late January 2025, the band will release their new album, Paint The World Pink, which they’ll take on tour this spring, including a stop at De Nijverheid.

Named after a myth about a vanishing planet, Min Taka combines indie, liquid drum-‘n-bass, synthpop, and hyperpop into a unique sound. Since 2020, she has performed on stages and at festivals such as Motel Mozaïque, Le Guess Who?, Popronde, and the Istanbul Jazz Festival. With her Turkish and English lyrics, she is working on a new release set for summer 2025, making strides in the European music scene.

Camy Huot is a French performance artist, music producer, and DJ based in Utrecht. She gravitates towards the obscure tones and artificial beats of minimal wave, synth punk, electro and EBM. She hosts the radio show “Too Many Creeps” on Stranded FM and “Batcage Radio” on Birdcage Radio. Additionally, she is one of the founders and organisers of the Wavecrash events.
