Layered, dynamic rock with thought-provoking lyrics
Utrecht-based, British-American artist Ben Stryder creates an intimate and explosive mix of catchy music influenced by the classic rock and singer-songwriter genres. His songs explore themes such as the mysterious ways time plays tricks on us, the addictive digital landscape we live in, and the growing uncertainty and polarization of the modern world. Drawing inspiration from artists like Led Zeppelin and John Mayer, Ben blends elements of old and new, experimenting with various effects and themes rooted in the past, present, and future to create a timeless soundscape. This performance, Hourglass, will showcase Ben Stryder’s debut singles, soon to be released. Together with an ensemble of five musicians, Ben will perform a diverse array of original songs. You can expect a strong emphasis on his four-piece band, as well as more intimate arrangements featuring a violinist, an additional vocalist, and his loop station to craft dynamic, evolving pieces.
