EIK (Einmal Ist Keinmal) is the musical world of Sam van den Heuvel, a singer from Utrecht with guitar and a clear, natural vocal sound. Inspired by artists such as Joni Mitchell, Madison Cunningham, and Esperanza Spalding, she blends organic sounds with playful details and subtle layers. Her music moves between acoustic folk, indie pop with touches of jazz and rock, where sound and storytelling go hand in hand. Moments in Time is an intimate concert in which Sam draws on the photographic work of her father, translating his search for simplicity and repetition into a musical experience. Where he captured time with his camera, Sam conveys the same sensitivity through sound. In this project, she gives his unfinished work new life and lets her own voice speak within a shared artistic exploration. Together with five musicians, she weaves layered music that shifts between stillness and playful energy, where detail, interplay, and imagination take center stage.
