Shoegaze full of wild guitars and melancholic haze
The four-piece alternative rock/shoegaze band Glare from South Texas has been making a name for themselves since their 2017 debut with dreamy singles full of wild, loose, and hazy guitar sounds. Their songs are rich in soundscapes, drawing influence from bands like Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, and Drop Nineteens. This past April, they released their debut album Sunset Funeral—a dreamy haze of sorrow—on the Deathwish Inc. label. This summer, they’ll bring the album to EKKO for a show that’s dreamy, devastatingly beautiful, sometimes raw, sometimes gentle, but always intense.
