An impressive double bill full of dreamy indie rock and pop
Loupe
The Amsterdam indie rock band Loupe possesses the unique gift of sounding both hurried and mesmerizing within the same moment. Their fluid sound combines styles such as synthpop, alternative folk, and indie rock in an idiosyncratic way. The smooth, aerodynamic grooves of Annemarie, Lana’s melodic basslines, and Jasmine’s dynamic, virtuosic playing form a kind of secret language. Their new album, ‘Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next?’, received 5 stars from NRC Handelsblad with the following statement in the review: “Loupe is the most enjoyable new Dutch band of the moment.” Earlier this year, they performed at Eurosonic Noorderslag and Grasnapolsky, and you may have also seen them at EKKO as the opening act for Porridge Radio.

In addition to her solo project, Sofie is also known as part of the Amsterdam wave pop formation MICH and has collaborated with prominent fellow artists, including Fatima Yamaha, San Holo, and Golden Vessel.
