Psychedelic double Bill provides a double dose of garage en lo-fi
Elephant Stone
Elephant Stone has been creating mesmerizing psych pop for over 14 years. Led by frontman Rishi Dhir, the Canadian band continues to reinvent itself every record, including their latest release ‘Dawn, Day, Dusk’. However, influences of classical Indian music can always be heard in the already colorful sound of the band because of the sitar, and they also experiment with electronic beats and Bollywood elements. Add this with lyrics about loss and existential themes and you get the ever interesting, psychedelic character of Elephant Stone.
Ghostwoman
Ghost Woman is the project of Canadian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Evan John Uschenko. He takes you into his hypnotic world full of lo-fi hooks, 60’s drums, and psychedelic rock. His music is meant to be evocative, allowing the listener to interpret the message for themselves. His latest album Anne, If was entirely recorded by himself with a tape recorder and offers a fresh analogue counter-sound in today’s digitized world.
