German indie pop sensation places synths at the center of charming and light-hearted songs
If you’ve recently checked TikTok, there’s a good chance you’ve come across Zimmer90. This German indie pop sensation quickly gained traction with their charming and light-hearted songs, in which they blend their love for art, music, and architecture. They describe their music as creating spaces, saying, “Sometimes we like to think of songs as spaces. Spaces created by music, that carry countless possibilities.” The duo audibly draws inspiration from acts like Tame Impala, Beach House, and Men I Trust, with one essential requirement: synthesizers must be involved. After Zimmer90 went viral on TikTok with their single ‘What Love Is,’ it’s now time for a tour and a visit to our venue.
Support: Zo Lief
The Dutch singer and songwriter Laura Chen and the British multi-instrumentalist James Attwood together form the psychedelic dream pop duo Zo Lief. With cinematic bedroom-pop melodies, garage rock guitars, and funk synthesizers from the 70s, they create a retro-leaning yet innovative sound. Following the release of their debut EP ‘Believe What You Believe’ and their selection for the final of the Zonneprijs 2024, they are ready to introduce themselves to the Dutch audience, starting as a support act for Zimmer90 at our venue, Bemuurde Weerd.
