Vancouver's Crown Princess of Nostalgic Indie Folk
Indie folk artist Haley Blais brings bedroom-made pop anthems to the world. This rising star from Canada delivers a coming-of-age story that acknowledges “coming of age” as a non-existent concept. Her lyrics tap into the joys and banalities of everyday life, the need to break free from uninspired existence, and the manifestation of a world where you are proud of yourself and those around you. Last year, Haley released the beautiful album ‘Wisecrack,’ a collection of songs about processing grief, loss, and the disintegration of family. Last fall, she performed these songs live at London Calling, and this late summer, she will return to our little country for her own show.
Support: Alexine
The Dutch-American singer-songwriter and producer Alexine taught herself to play guitar at the age of sixteen and quickly developed a passion for producing. She draws inspiration from her surroundings and translates her unfiltered thoughts into every song she writes. In March 2024, Alexine released her self-produced debut EP ‘Room for Improvement,’ which has since garnered over 80,000 streams. Now, she returns with her new single ‘Wishing Well,’ with a performance scheduled at EKKO on September 3.
