MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST AND ONE-MAN BAND WITH INFECTIOUS DUB AND REGGAE
Pachy García, originally from Puerto Rico, pays tribute to the reggae pioneers he grew up with. Starting as a guitarist, he discovered his love for early Jamaican music, which led him to transition to piano, bass, and eventually self-taught drumming in Los Angeles. As a multi-instrumentalist and one-man band, he blends South American rhythms with dub and reggae, singing in the Puerto Rican dialect on several tracks. His music takes you back to 1970s Jamaica, influenced by dub engineers like Scientist and King Tubby. This spring, he will release a new album and bring it to Utrecht for his only show in the Netherlands during his headline tour.
