Jelle Denturck, frontman of the Belgian indie rock band DIRK., pushes boundaries with his solo project Dressed Like Boys. Far from the raw energy of rock, he draws inspiration from melancholic pop and rock classics, influenced by Bowie, Lou Reed, Elton John, and Perfume Genius. His music harks back to the ’70s, blending a warm, analog sound with modern techniques. This fall, he will take the stage at EKKO for an intimate show, presenting his new album, set for release on August 29.
