ENERGY-PACKED CLUB NIGHT RETURNS TO BASS FOR A NIGHT OF UK GARAGE, HOUSE, HIPHOP AND MORE...
An ode to the energy and range of modern sounds from the UK, club night DON’T MIND THE GAP aims to bring a breath of fresh air. A night bursting with energy, genre crossovers, and extended sets that allow selectors to show their most versatile side and explore experimentation. For this edition, Cinnaman and RAGA will present a wide spectrum of sounds, from soulful UKG and warm, percussive house rhythms to energetic UK bass and touches of hip-hop.
Cinnaman
Someone who has truly done it all when it comes to representing underground club music in the Netherlands is Yuri Boselie, better known as Cinnaman. With more than twenty years of experience, Boselie still regularly graces the decks at places like Dekmantel, Radio Radio, and Garage Noord, always armed with his impressive record collection. Few selectors can move so effortlessly and skillfully between pumping house, raw hip-hop and bass, to hypnotic techno and explosive garage. Besides DJ’ing, Cinnaman has created a legacy with his club night Colors that introduced a generation of clubrats to a diverse range of qualitative genre-transcending music.
RAGA
After pouring many loving hours into Don’t Mind The Gap the past year, it’s time to pull our own Raf, a.k.a. RAGA, from behind the curtains again. Not bound to traditional borders and with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek, a RAGA set always keeps you on your toes. Whether it’s in a steamy club like NAR or at his radio home Stranded FM, Raf shifts smoothly between wobbly basslines, percussive house, UK funky and hip-hop.
