QUEER, GENRE-BENDING, AND RELENTLESS HYPERPOP FROM A RISING CHINESE SUPERSTAR
Chinese hyperpop star Alice Longyu Gao delivers genre-bending pop infused with punk, trap, and J-pop influences. In her music and performances, Alice draws attention to issues like eating disorder recovery, government-funded arts education for all, and sustainability in fashion. She is currently working on a new album set to release in September, following the release of promising singles like “Lesbians <3” and “Detective Alice” earlier this year. In the spring of 2023, she was a special guest at Queer in Wonderland, and this fall, she returns to EKKO as part of her European headline tour.

Screenage DJ is a versatile DJ and producer from Amsterdam, taking his audience on a journey through various music styles. His sets are an energetic explosion of club, jungle, garage, breaks, and gabber, layered with experimental braindance and ambient. He produces as Inkscreen, focusing on IDM and breakcore, and later this year he will release a new project that is sure to surprise you.

The Belgian Nu-Rave duo Promis3 impresses with a mix of Europop, hyperpop, and Y2K trance. On stage, they are known for their eccentric performances, striking visuals, and they serve as a model for European club and queer culture. Constantly pushing the boundaries of their recognizable yet confrontational identity, they have already performed with artists like Shygirl and Dorian Electra. Last January, the duo appeared at Eurosonic, in September they will release their new single ‘Archangel’, and this fall they will bring their exciting mix of nostalgia and innovative sound to EKKO.
