New Yorkers deliver fresh post-punk with a nerdy twist
How Did This Happen?! BODEGA is back, and how. The art-rockers from New York made themselves heard again earlier this year with the new single ‘Tarkovski’, and let that song be completely worn out on the EKKO office stereo. On stage, they’ve been delivering a danceable and engaged mix of post-punk, indie rock, and quirky talk-singing for years, but they’re not afraid to push boundaries and keep innovating and inspiring. For their previous album ‘Broken Equipment’, they drew inspiration from the book club they’re part of. It resulted in idealistic tracks with a philosophical angle, ready-made for the (punk) dance floor and literature enthusiasts among us. So, we’re very curious about what the new album ‘Our Brand Could Be Yr Life’ will bring.
Support The Klittens
Untrained but unbothered; the five chicks of The Klittens make rattling fuzz pop with a spicy indie twist. This half-Amsterdam, half-Hague band combines their DIY approach with indie fuzz to create a surprising repertoire ranging from dark post-punk to danceable songs about grandmas. With a UK tour, support slots for Tacocat, SASAMI, and Deliluh, and strong performances in packed venues, these headstrong musicians are slowly emerging from the underground. Don’t fuck with The Klittens.
