INTIMATE CLUB NIGHT WITH THE BEST DJs AND AN UNFORGETTABLE ATMOSPHERE
A new CLUB EKKO – Selected with love for your (and our own) dancing pleasure. This evening focuses on house, breaks, techno, and other electronic treats with Monty DJ and Naim Abu, two versatile DJs representing a wide spectrum of electronic sounds.
Monty DJ
Monty DJ is a selector deeply rooted in the Amsterdam scene, incorporating influences from all corners of the musical spectrum into his sets and productions. He runs his own label, Flippendisk, is a resident and programmer at Radio Radio, and the founder of JA JA JA NEE NEE NEE, a radio station focused on art. With his senses constantly tuned to various creative disciplines, he has amassed a wide repertoire of sounds. From synthwave to house to techno to digi-dub to a stray pop track, everything comes together in an energetic, stimulating, and surprising mix that has already turned festivals like Wildeburg and Dekmantel Selectors upside down.
Naim Abu
Open Source Radio programmer Naim Abu will kick off the evening. Born in Singapore and later moving to the Netherlands, he is making waves as a DJ. From soulful house to harder breaks, anything can appear in a set by Naim. He has previously shown his skills at Het Complot in EKKO, Where is Anook in NAR, and impressed at the new club Kabul á GoGo. Soon, he will be performing at DGTL during ADE, but first, we welcome him and his broad selection of sounds to CLUB EKKO.
