Innovative indie-electronica from German duo evokes melancholy and joy
The Cologne duo COMA brings an innovative blend at the intersection of indie and electronic music, seamlessly navigating between catchy hooks and profound emotions. Georg Conrad and Marius Bubat have firmly established themselves in the indie-electronic scene throughout their career, but with their new music, the pair cautiously moves away from the dance floor, evolving towards a warmer form that evokes both joy and melancholy. This can be heard in their new singles, serving as a preview to the album ‘FUZZY FANTASY’, set to be launched on March 15, 2024, under the renowned record label City Slang.
Support: Cymbaline
Cymbaline creates music with analog synthesizers, old crackling drum machines, and lo-fi vocals. With a love for ’70s underground, the Utrecht-based duo crafts a sound reminiscent of British new wave and German krautrock. In short: dark and defiant, but above all melancholic. This past May, the band released their new EP ‘Gegenwelt’. For fans of: New Order, Kraftwerk, De Ambassade.
