Double bill full of dynamic indie pop and melodic guitar lines from Indonesia and Utrecht
What started as a solo project in frontman Bam Mastro’s bedroom studio in Perth has grown into a powerful trio with Kevin Septanto and Bayu Adisapoetra. Together, they deliver dynamic indie pop infused with rock and electronic influences. With four albums and performances alongside acts like The xx and Franz Ferdinand, Elephant Kind is already a household name in Southeast Asia. Moving from Jakarta to London feels like a natural next step: “This is every Indonesian artist’s dream,” says Mastro. Now, they’re ready to captivate a whole new audience—EKKO is their next stop.
Muylike (pronounced moei·lijk in Dutch) is the band led by Utrecht-based songwriter and producer Stijn Post. After years of working as a composer for media, he took matters into his own hands and began touring the country with his sunny indie-pop songs. After supporting Chef’special at the Ziggo Dome, releasing two albums, and playing over 50 shows, Muylike is now on the brink of a third album, one that returns to where it all began: not the guitar, but the piano. The result is a collection of introspective, warm songs about love—whether successful or not—and its consequences, blending indie-pop, soul, and indie-folk. The first glimpses of this new direction will be released in 2025, sharing this new chapter with the world.
