SUMMER CLUB NIGHT BRINGS AUTHENTIC AFROBEATS VIBE
An unadulterated Afrobeats experience, that’s what the Lagos club night brings to EKKO in the Netherlands on Saturday, January 27.
The Afrobeats sound, propelled by international superstars like Burna Boy, Rema, and Wizkid (just to name a few), has long been a staple in charts and clubs.
The genre’s growth also opens up space for diversification: Alté, embraced by artists like Aamaarae, Odunsi (The Engine), and Cruel Santino, blends Afrobeats with indie influences. Raw, harder sounds are also emerging, such as songs by Asake, ODUMODUBLVCK, and the instrumentals of DJ YK MULE.
The electronic Amapiano sound, by artists like Kabza de Small, Uncle Waffles, and DJ Maphorisa, is also an integral part of the club scene.
