AMSTERDAM FIVE-PIECE CREATES AN EXPLOSIVE MIX OF SHOEGAZE AND POST-PUNK
Marathon creates an explosive mix of shoegaze and post-punk with a strong dose of social criticism. With a sound that combines the edge of post-punk, the atmosphere of shoegaze, and the introspection of indie, the Amsterdam band channels their frustration with the growing social divide.
Over the past year, the young five-piece has taken their live reputation across borders, played at Lowlands, and wrapped up 2025 with their own show in the main hall of Paradiso. After a surprise appearance at the benefit event Out of Place (in collaboration with HOOFS and 113), the band returns to EKKO in April for a long-awaited headline show.
