EXPLOSIVE INDIE ROCK WITH POUNDING DRUMS, FUZZY GUITARS AND INTOXICATING VOCALS
The band Rocket didn’t choose their name lightly: it perfectly captures the explosive energy of their sound. The young quartet from Los Angeles started making music during the lockdown, but it soon became clear that their sound was too powerful for the bedroom and belonged on stage. Rocket plays indie rock with pounding drums, fuzzy guitars, and intoxicating vocals. A nostalgic sound that sometimes recalls bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Sonic Youth, but with a fresh perspective.
The band recently signed with the trendsetting label Transgressive and has opened for, among others, Bar Italia, They Are Gutting A Body Of Water, Ride, and The Smashing Pumpkins. Their debut album R is for Rocket will be released in the fall of 2025; a few months later, they will bring their shoegaze-infused indie rock to EKKO.
