EXPERIMENTAL POSTPUNK WITH HYPNOTIC SOUNDS, INSPIRED BY NATURE
The experimental post-punk band from East London, Snapped Ankles, brings hypnotic sounds fused with krautrock, noise, electronica, and post-techno to EKKO. The band draws inspiration from the raw side of nature. On stage, they often appear as if they’ve emerged from the woods, dressed in animalistic or camouflage-like costumes and masks, with a synthesizer disguised as a tree and much more. In 2011, Snapped Ankles began their musical experiments at DIY events, where they blended live improvisations with electronic sounds and synthesizers. Shortly after, their music was released by The Leaf Label. Now, straight from the deep forests, they’re bringing their nature-inspired sound to EKKO.
This show is part of a pilot by EKKO and booking agency Friendly Fire. For all concerts organized jointly by EKKO and Friendly Fire in 2025, we offer three different ticket prices: a regular ticket, a lower-budget ticket, and a higher-budget ticket. The latter two categories are available in limited quantities, while supplies last. Since financial considerations play a significant role in the decision to go out and not everyone has the same budget, we want to explore the impact of offering multiple ticket prices.
