An evening where standing still is not an option, and you lose yourself in a feeling of freedom, the Social Dance Club Night is a club night where dance is the absolute focus. The best disco/funky/house selections by Tonno Disko, paired with the uplifting words of Miss Sunshine, will take you on an extraordinary club experience.
The Social Dance Club is a dance community from Utrecht that embraces your unique essence. A community that connects through their love for music and dance, especially the dance style Whacking, a disco dance style that originated in the 1970s in the underground – black and Latino – gay club scene in Los Angeles.
The night begins with the Social Dance Experience. This is a program element that you can sign up for separately. Led by Miss Sunshine and Tonno Disko, you will be immersed for one hour in the world of social dance. Through dancing, we will create an atmosphere of connection, letting go, and the ultimate feeling of freedom. The Social Dance Experience is open to anyone who loves to dance and wants to share this with others. There is space for 60 participants, so sign up quickly.
After the tone is set during the Social Dance Experience, the club night kicks off, and this free energy continues throughout the rest of the night. Expect enchanting dance performances by the Rays of Sunshine and let yourself be immersed in the selections by Tonno Disko.
