UTRECHT INITIATIVE SHOWS CROSS CONNECTIONS BETWEEN CLASSICAL, POP AND ELECTRONICA
Synthesis is a musical experience where you experience the cross connections between modern classical, electronic and pop music at unconventional locations in Utrecht.
Torus is the alias of Joeri Woudstra, a multidisciplinary artist from The Hague. In his sets, he uses dance music to reflect on the politics and aesthetics of contemporary pop culture. His boundary-breaking approach to the structures of genres such as trance and electronica brings an adventurous performance to the stage. During Synthesis, he performs his new live show with visuals at Moira. Guaranteed to be a set you won’t soon forget!
Laurence Gaudreau is a French-Canadian cellist who got her master’s at HKU. Torus’ border-crossing approach is no stranger to her either: she draws inspiration from genres ranging from electronic music to tango and from folk to hip-hop. As a cellist, she is associated with the Flare Quartet.
