Nijmegen indie-company captures life's path in alternative and cheerful indiepop
The Nijmegen-based indie band Waltzburg is back after a hiatus. Their alternative pop tells the story of friendship, growing older, accepting flaws, and finding love. Since the release of their EP ‘Let’s All Pretend,’ they have been working on a new album set to be released in the second half of this year. ‘Black Cat on Your Doormat’ features strong, catchy tracks with a dark edge. With five band members on stage, the songs are transformed into an energetic and danceable whole, which they will bring to EKKO this fall.

Toverjas brings Dutch alternative pop music, inspired by diverse influences like Spinvis, composer Koji Kondo, Koikarpers, power outlets, and Sundays. The creative mind behind this band is Tobias Kolk, perhaps known from WIES. After graduating from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with his solo project, Tobias breathed new life into this project, teaming up with classmates and band members Sonya Vos and Eren Özilhan.
