New clubnight bridges UK Garage, House, Hiphop and more
An ode to the energy and diversity of modern sounds from the UK – new club concept DON’T MIND THE GAP aims to bring a breath of fresh air. A night bursting with energy, genre crossovers, and extended sets that enable selectors to showcase their most versatile and experimental side. From soulful UKG and housy sounds with sultry R&B vocals to hard UK bass, Grime, and jungle. DON’T MIND THE GAP bridges the sounds, with Passion DEEZ and SAIDAH at the helm of this first edition.
Passion DEEZ has quickly become a household name, leaving a lasting impression wherever he plays with his razor-sharp sets, ranging from 2-step and dark garage to instrumental grime and breakbeats. All delivered with a playful twist and boundless energy. Born in Zimbabwe, raised in London, and now based in Amsterdam, he tells a unique musical story, always with an emphasis on inclusivity and experience.
The evening will kick off with SAIDAH, an Amsterdam-based selector who is rapidly gaining recognition with playful UKG-based sets. Sometimes venturing into harder sounds or taking a step back playing records with a soulful touch, all rooted in her London heritage. She tore it up at Down the Rabbit Hole, opened for Fred Again at his afterparty in De Schietclub, and will elevate the energy levels at EKKO from the very first track.
