STRONG BLEND OF PUNK AND HIP-HOP BREAKS ALL EXPECTED STEREOTYPES
Sadly our Joe Unknown show is sold out, but don’t worry on Saturday may 25th he is performing in de Melkweg. Click here for tickets.
Who exactly Joe Unknown is, he prefers to keep a mystery. His blend of grim hip-hop beats and post-punk has been compared to The Streets and Sleaford Mods. However, if you take a moment to immerse yourself in his lyrics, you’ll discover his poetic talent for capturing snapshots of everyday British culture. Earlier this year, Joe Unknown made his debut with the mixtape ‘For Better For Worse,’ an album full of raw tracks about the rotten life in hellhole England. Whether it’s the underclass or upper class, it all fuels his detailed, nuanced, and often sharp-witted observations about the country that surrounds him.
Support: Hugo Remmen
Troublemaker and swamp monster Hugo Remmen ensures with a mix of noise-hop, hyperpop, and (post)punk combined with a flashy light show for a performance that is just as intense as Hugo’s own presence. Everything is DIY, and everything is a bit broken, but then you don’t have to feel as guilty at a show if you’re a bit messed up yourself.
