Cami Layé Okún
A DJ, radio host, and extraordinary digger; the work of Cuban collector Cami Layé Okún goes beyond mere curation. Whether in the DJ booth – with performances at events like Glastonbury Festival, Sacre Paris, GALA, KALA Festival, and Electric Castle – or through her NTS Radio show ‘Insolar’ where she brings out the context and underlying anecdotes of her unique music collection. Her intrinsic motivation to study the story behind a record has earned her a solid reputation among music aficionados worldwide. On June 8th, Cami Layé Okún will open the dance floor for us. Get ready for a collection of Cuban fusion, Afro-Caribbean obscurities, tropical grooves, and much, much more. Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away.
The Low G Court
To conclude our next get-together, we’ve invited the two gentlemen from The Low G Court. Known for their wide music selections and notorious for their infectious energy behind the turntables, The Low G Court have left few venues untouched in the Netherlands. This time they’re hitting the dance floor at EKKO for the first time, and we’re more than curious about what they’ll bring. While the duo consists of D.J. Klapsalon and doo-bop, two renowned DJs in their own right, that doesn’t mean The Low G Court is merely the sum of its parts. It’s much more than that. Take plenty of hard jazz funk, quirky Hindi bangers, add a dash of acid house, wrap it in a bundle of energetic moves and wild flowing locks, and you get The Low G Court. Don’t expect the familiar, rediscover your senses, and join us for the journey!
