Brihang, born Boudy Verleye, has been an artist to closely watch since his passion for hip-hop was ignited through his father’s skate shop . Not even a decade after taking his first steps as a musician, Brihang has evolved into a confident artist who has found his own sound. Under the motto “Hip-hop doesn’t have to be tough,” he creates refreshing poetic hip-hop that touches your soul and provokes reflection.
His artistic work, doesn’t stop at the studio. The sculptor-by-education actively participates in the creation of music videos and all associated graphic design, adding his own personal signature to visual expressions.
This summer, Brihang surprised his fans with two singles, ‘Telefoontje’ and ‘Tussenin.’ This autumn, he will release a new, personal album titled ‘Droomvoeding,’ inspired by his new phase in life where he strives to find balance between a young family and pursuing his career. After playing at numerous festivals this summer, he will embark on a tour with his new album and also make a stop in Utrecht for an intimate performance at EKKO.
