The six-member band CVC from Wales presented an impressively mature debut album this year with ‘Get Real,’ reviving the sounds of sixties psych-rock. For their infectious sound, CVC, short for Church Village Collective, draws inspiration from the rich body of work of artists like Crosby, Stills & Nash, Super Furry Animals, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The Tambles
Rock ‘n’ roll is the foundation of The Tambles. With their entirely home-recorded second full-length album, ‘Scraping By,’ the band has created a record filled with danceable, soon-to-be classics. It’s also dynamic, shifting between country with a nod to gritty, haunting psychedelic garage, all rooted in rock ‘n’ roll. After a successful release show in 2022, The Tambles are now returning to EKKO to once again captivate the audience with their versatile and energetic live performance.
