CINEMATIC CHAMBER POP FILLED WITH 1960s ROMANCE, FUNKY BASS RHYTHMS, AND MYSTERY.

Donna Blue’s cinematic music allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. This musical duo masters the art of mystery, crafting 1960s-inspired chamber pop in a grainy, cinematic world with funky bass rhythms and French vocals. According to them, they capture the spirit of Nancy & Lee, Serge Gainsbourg, and echo the influence of film composers such as Ennio Morricone, Piero Piccioni, and John Barry. In early November, they released their single ‘Fantasy Girl’; this is the first taste of their upcoming French-English album ‘Into the Realm of Love’. Once immersed, you can’t help but drift away into the noir-romantic sound of Donna Blue.

Support = The People’s Pleasure Ground

The People’s Pleasure Grounds conjures a vision of endless beaches with azure waves, transporting you to a lost paradise with their enchanting music. During live performances, led by Jimmy de Kok and accompanied by Malenzie Mac-Donald Jr., Gijs van der Heijden, and Eno Aronds, they captivate the audience with reverb-drenched guitars and dreamy vocals, reminiscent of bands like Allah-Las and Babe Rainbow. With their debut EP filled with heartfelt rock and folk, they will return to Utrecht this spring for another spectacular show.
