HOUSE DJ AND PRODUCER MAKES DREAMY SYNTHPOP
Dj, producer and singer Elias Mazian is a well liked guest in the club circuit of Amsterdam and far beyond. Starting out in hip-hop, he later fell in love with house music and became a regular DJ at Club Trouw. Elias is not limited by genres and with house as a basis he deviates to all kinds of unexpected sounds, such as techno, jungle and pop. Since the pandemic, Elias has been making Dutch-language synthpop where he is not afraid to show his sensitive side. Songs about heartache and re(finding) love are wrapped in a warm electronic blanket. This can be heard on his previous album ‘Free of Dreams’ and also resonates in his recently released album ‘Only with Me’.
Support: Moonloops
Moonloops is the musical project of 23-year-old Sarah Dekker from Groningen. With an old guitar and an abundance of stories in her mind, she creates harmonious bedroom pop in which she writes about dreams, desires, and hope. She has since outgrown her bedroom and is ready to present the stories from her head to the world in order to inspire her listeners. She did this already this spring with her EP ‘Little Astronaut,’ and this winter, she is bringing these stories to the stage at EKKO as support for Elias Mazian.
