Sparkling bedroom pop from Australian duo
Australian duo Good Morning keeps experimental lo-fi bedroom pop with a Nineties slant alive. After the Melbourne-based duo began fooling around a bit with songwriting and recording in high school, their 2014 debut and the singles that followed immediately attracted attention. The band’s two records released in 2019 showcased their more bubbly indie rock songs (‘The Option’) and their downbeat stoner side (‘Basketball Breakdowns’). ‘Barnyard,’ the most subtle and layered record from this distinctive DIY twosome, was released in 2021. After the grand tour surrounding this album, they are now making their way on a more intimate tour of smaller venues, with Good Morning playing a mix of older favorites and previously unheard songs.

Moonlover, the captivating project of Quang Dinh, a Melbourne-born musician now based in Paris, weaves enchanting psychedelic melodies. From his DIY garage album ‘Thou Shall Be Free’ (2018) to ‘Shangri-La,’ in which the color palette was dramatically expanded to include saxophones, clarinets, keyboards, glockenspiels, and stacks of mesmerizing vocal harmonies.
