Band members Zpor, Goo, Grok, and Nom are now familiar faces on festival grounds both within and beyond this galaxy. Snackbar the Ambassador is the alter ego of artist, musician, and radio presenter Matthias König. His music combines deconstructed folklore, electronic beats, krautrock, psychedelic cumbia, and dub. Dressed in elaborate costumes, he plays samplers, drum machines, and other instruments for unique live performances. His debut single “Iedere Dag Vakantie” and his album are released by Esc.rec. König has made a name with installations, sound sculptures, drawings, and performances in the Netherlands, England, and Germany. Recently, he has focused on traditions, folklore, and carnival. Sound and music are central to his work, spending as much time in his studio as in his atelier. Snackbar the Ambassador merges his love for music and art.
