Originated during nighttime jam sessions in Utrecht, the psychedelic indie rock ‘n’ roll band Komodo is now in EKKO with their album release show. They have traveled around the world for new music in recent months, and it shows. Their music is a brew of worldly influences, designed to keep you dancing day and night: psychedelic rock peppered with non-Western sounds and unexpected instruments, delivered in a high-energy live show. Komodo broke through with their debut album in 2019 and subsequently played at festivals such as Noorderslag and Grasnapolsky. A bit strange, a bit raw, but the melodies will keep floating around in your head for days. The fruits of this are not only on the upcoming studio album, but will be heard more than ever in a renewed live show in EKKO.
