Someone’s musical narrations are richly composed, silky smooth and full of subtlety. To complement her music, she allows herself to be surrounded by a visual world inspired by David Lynch, full of shadows and secrets. In the spring of 2023 she released her new album ‘Owls’, on which she creates her own psychpop world with sparkling synthesizers, hypnotic vocals and heavy instrumentals. Géonne Hartman is a singer-songwriter from Utrecht. During her performances, she takes you on a whimsical journey through the dreamscape that she skillfully shapes with her music. Solo or together with a band, she performs her poetic songs in an intimate and at the same time powerful way. Her debut album, recorded with Tessa Rose Jackson (Someone) behind the controls, is packed with autumnal songs and influences from country and jazz. It gives a warm, bittersweet result full of complex arrangements and beautiful vocal sounds.
