Tension boils beneath the surface: the five-piece The Grand East from Overijssel has a new lineup and a new sound. Less jams, more songs. In the studio, they started flirting with ideas that were out of the ordinary. Anything was allowed to inspire, as long as it made your neck hairs stand up. On stage, as per usual, their show is on fire, with a singer who sings like he has a voodoo priest on his heels. Go see them if you can, and be converted by the boys with the unholy spirit.
