VIBRANT INDIE POP SONGS WITH A VINTAGE TWIST

The Indien represents pop music at its core, but always with a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) feel. At least, that’s how Rianne Walther describes it herself. The project centered around the frontwoman creates vibrant indie pop songs with a quirky touch at their core, incorporating influences from the past, such as psychedelica and soul. Their songs are built around Rianne’s recognizable voice, often featuring stripped-down percussion, cinematic layering, and guitar melodies. After releasing several promising singles in 2023, The Indien will embark on a tour in the spring of 2024 with their long-awaited debut album — during which they will also visit our stage at De Bemuurde Weerd

Support: la loye
Indiefolk project la loye, led by Lieke Heusinkveld, is known for enchanting sounds, hauntingly beautiful whispered vocals, and dark guitar playing that manages to captivate the audience. Their music maintains an unmistakable melancholy, which runs like a thread through their songs. Inspired by influences such as Elliott Smith, Radiohead, and Big Thief, la Loye creates an intimate atmosphere where subtle poetic vocals merge with layered guitar sounds.
