innovative Dutch R&B about love in the digital era

Patience pays off, as shown by the career of kans. After years working behind the scenes in the Dutch music industry, including being an integral part of Jonna Fraser’s successes, Randall Felter quietly worked on his master plan and reintroduced himself to the public as “kans” in 2021. Sometimes sensitive, sometimes relentless, and always with a touch of Amsterdam bravado, kans paints an almost dystopian picture of love in the digital age through his music. Emotion, alcohol, and ego blend in a slightly schizophrenic mixer, resulting in a sometimes hopeless, sometimes unforgiving, and sometimes painfully accurate worldview.

Rooted in R&B and hip-hop, a kans album is not only an emotional journey but also a musical rollercoaster. From influences of electronic music and trap to tracks with Afrobeat elements and musical odes to Suriname, he seems to try something new in each track – and with success. After selling out larger venues like Melkweg OZ and Annabel in 2022, he and his band are seeking intimacy on this tour. On June 15th, EKKO is up next. Ticket sales begin on Monday, February 26th, at 10:00 AM.

Support Ruskey

Emerging Amsterdam multitalent Ruskey, born Desai Breeveld, has always been surrounded by music. With a father who is a guitarist, composer, and producer, a mother who sings and writes, and grandparents who have all graced the stage, he has been immersed in people who share his passion since childhood. He never lost this passion and love for music, starting piano at the age of four and producing since he was ten. After several successful singles, he released his long-awaited debut EP ‘Baby Boy’ in September 2022. A sensitive project about love, cloaked in an R&B vibe, for which he took full production responsibility. Following this EP, Complex NL dubbed him ‘Artist To Watch.’ Last year, on April 23rd, he and his band performed their first headline show at Paradiso’s upstairs venue, selling out within six days.
