Australian proto-punk with infinite energy

Melbourne’s five-piece CIVIC bring the reckless intensity of proto-punk to ACU. With the motto “Do good rock and roll and not to stuff about with it” this band can be mentioned in the same breath as compatriots The Chats and Amyl & The Sniffers.

A cross-fertilization between eighties glam rock and the music of Australian punk scene greats, delivered in an innovative way with the exciting energy of an overcrowded pub gig. They previously released music on King Gizzard drummer Eric Moore’s label, and released the album ‘Taken by Force’ in 2023 through their new label Cooking Vinyl Australia.

Support: BOWL
The five-piece band BOWL brings a fresh atmosphere that is well received by the post-punk genre. With atonal, disorienting guitar riffs, critical lyrics and a tight rhythm section. With their songs they deal with themes such as modern masculinity and, for example, question contemporary religious issues. After winning the band competition Clash of the Titans this year, this company is ready to flatten venues throughout the Netherlands.
