3 NEW DUTCH TALENTS PUT DIRECTLY INTO THE SPOTLIGHTS WITH TWO SHOWS

Taking three Dutch talents under our wing at the beginning of the year and following them throughout the entire year. Class of 2024 is doing just that. We have booked two shows at once featuring three emerging Dutch acts, one in January and another in December, so that we can showcase how far they’ve come by the end of the year. We have full confidence that they will go very far. Do you believe it too? Then get a combo ticket for both shows right away.

To end the year here is show #2 out of 2, press this link to see show #1

Dorpsstraat 3

Dorpsstraat 3 is an Amsterdam-based act that creates gritty new-wave music that sounds like it’s coming from an 1980s cassette tape. It’s somewhat in the vein of De Ambassade. The music of Dorpsstraat 3 balances between postpunk and synthwave, drawing inspiration from various types of music that come from very different places both geographically and in time. They have already played at Grasnapolsky and Freaky Dancing x Tweetakt, recently released an EP (with shows at Paradiso and Roodkapje) and in 2024 they will release their debut.

Droom Dit

In a short period, the band Droom Dit made a big impression with their theatrical Dutch-language synthpop. Inspired by acts such as Spinvis, Radiohead, King Krule, Joy Division, and Wende, as well as Dutch literature by authors like Cees Nootenboom, Droom Dit is developing a recognizable character within contemporary Dutch pop. A particularly poetic band that has already performed at EKKO as the opening act for Véras and was picked up as a promising talent during the Popronde.

Hiqpy

What if Kurt Cobain and Ariana Grande were to have a Pokémon together? Well, you’d get something like Hiqpy. The band defrosts the audience with delightful poppy vocal lines that lie somewhere between grunge and stoner. The four-member band is playful and a bit quirky. Superpower: spitting out flames of reverberating adlibs and fuzzy guitars.
