NEW CLUB NIGHT BRIDGES THE GAP BETWEEN UK GARAGE, HOUSE, HIP-HOP, AND MORE

A tribute to the energy and diversity of modern sounds from the UK – DON’T MIND THE
GAP aims to bring a breath of fresh air. A night filled with energy, genre crossovers, and
extended sets that allow selectors to showcase their most versatile and experimental
sides. From soulful UKG and house bops with sultry R&B vocals to intense UK bass, Grime,
and Jungle, DON’T MIND THE GAP bridges the gap. For the second edition, we
welcome the creative, rhythmic blends of EYCEE and the electronic hip-hop, bass-heavy
club music and breakbeats of Jerrau. Extra special, as the two are reunited in Utrecht
after their legendary Orbit set in 2022.

EYCEE
When it comes to presenting the British sound in the Netherlands, you can count on
EYCEE. In a landscape where the boundaries between hip-hop, R&B, dubstep, grime,
techno, house, and garage have been blurred in recent years, DJs like EYCEE emerge,
always finding the perfect mix. Percussions, filthy basslines, occasional hip-hop vocals,
all presented with the skill of an experienced selector and the energy of a young gun, as
witnessed during his Lowlands debut at the Bravo stage.
As a producer, EYCEE is also making significant strides, with various releases, including
on his own PARDON label, a collective with which he organizes UK-based club nights in
Amsterdam and regularly brings various UK club legends to the city. Expect a diverse
range of sounds, where challenge alternates with playfulness, and energy is the guiding
principle.

JERRAU
When Erykah Badu takes the mic to MC your set after her performance at Down The
Rabbit Hole, you’re doing something right. Maneuvering between different genres and
cultures to bring infectious energy to the dance floor is precisely what a DJ set by Jerrau
is all about. The Surinamese-Dutch DJ is a regular fixture in Amsterdam’s nightlife,
consistently setting clubs ablaze week after week.
To the question “what exactly do you play?” he still has no answer, and that’s for the
better. We describe it as an energetic and eclectic blend somewhere in the space
between soulful house-sounds and intense electronic hip-hop, bass, heavy club music,
and breakbeats. A sound that’s hard to pinpoint but gets an entire room shaking. Not
hyped yet? Check out that Keep Hush set.
