Rotterdammers bring garage punk with new wave, kraut and disco influences
Hold on tight, because before you know it you’ll be swept away by the musical whirlwind called Iguana Death Cult. This quintet from Rotterdam started out as a garage punk band, but managed to evolve: they gained more and more influences from new wave, krautrock, soul and disco came into play. Hypnotic surf melodies and fuzz sounds make this band the danceable colossus that they are. Also live, full of swirling moshpits and inexhaustible energy.
Support: Real Farmer
Starting out as a punk trio in 2018, Real Farmer has since grown into a boisterous and quirky post-punk foursome. The band takes influences from the intensity that drives contemporary punk and blues. The intuitive way of writing gives their music its distinctive, restless sound.
