Perfect Indie Disco XL is back with the traditional year-end edition; a glorious indie event in EKKO to end the year with. With the musical New Year’s Eve conference by Niek & Bas Nellen of Afterpartees, an indie pop quiz and two promising live acts from Dutch soil. Host St. Paul eats oliebollen and spins from kickoff to deep into the night.

DJ St. Paul returns to uplift and surprise us with a sharp cross-section of all things independent. From Tame Impala to Boygenius and Fontaines D.C. to Enya, a selection of indie in all shapes and sizes.
Out of nowhere, De Toegift suddenly looms in early 2023. The melancholy Zeeland sounds of the self-titled debut album blow over to mainland Holland and Belgium at wind force 10. With quirky lyrics and a fresh mix of indie, folk, and jazz, this six-piece brings an innovative sound to the Dutch music scene. By now augmented by violinist and flutist, De Toegift also continues to seek out experimentation, which can also be heard on the remix EP ‘De vormen voelen vreemd’ released in June, where the band sought collaborations with the likes of Lucky Fonz III and Gladde Paling.
Rotterdam-based foursome Vampire boyfriend brings catchy alt-pop that offers listeners self-acceptance, but also isn’t afraid to flirt with the dark. Originally from Zeeland, Janine van Osta, known among other things as a regular band member of Broeder Dieleman, writes

Dish of the day by De Klub (18:00-20:00)
On December 7, 8, and 9, restaurant De Klub will be cooking again at EKKO. Prior to the show, you can enjoy a delicious dish of the day for €15, featuring on the menu this time: kale mashed potatoes with kimchi and celeriac, topped with miso gravy. You can drop by between 18:00 and 20:00. Reservations can be made via the website, but it’s not mandatory.
