HYPERPOP AND PUNK IN THE BLENDER WITH 100 GECS PROTEGÉ WHO STARTED AS A BEDROOM PRODUCER

In a bedroom, wonderful things can happen. Just ask Filipino-American April Harper Grey, better known as underscores. In high school, Grey began making music on GarageBand software, initially inspired by Skrillex and sleepless nights. With a continuous stream of quirky releases on Soundcloud, underscores expanded her fanbase and musical horizons. On her official debut album ‘fishmonger,’ pop-punk and hyperpop blend like never before. It’s no wonder, then, that underscores was taken under the wing of Dylan Brady from the cult duo 100 Gecs. The duo brought underscores on tour, and Brady co-wrote new music with Grey. Not to mention, producer Cashmere Cat and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker joined in the mix. How all of this translates on stage? There’s only one way to find out.
