Double bill where catchy indie, sunny folk, and 90s fuzz intersect.

Together with our friends from Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond, we present an evening with two headlining acts, one Belgian and one Dutch, featuring in this double bill the Antwerp indie-pop trio BLUAI and the Amsterdam indie rockers Cloud Cafe.

BLUAI
What started as Catherine Smet’s intimate bedroom project quickly evolved into the three-piece BLUAI, with Caitlin Talbut on bass and Mo Govaerts on drums. Their music hovers between soft indie pop, indie folk, and edgy 90s guitars, soaked in the hopeful melancholy of broken hearts, road trips, break-ups, and casual crushes. Their debut album ‘save it for later’ was released last March, where the band explores the terrain of country pop and indie folk. The result is a mature and sincere pop record that takes the listener on an emotional journey.

Cloud Cafe
The Amsterdam-based indie rock quartet Cloud Cafe delivers vulnerable lyrics with folky roots in a disarming whole. Cloud Cafe masters the art of blending both the grand, encompassing aspects and the small, subtle gestures. In March 2023, their debut EP was released, a musical microcosm of everyday chaos and melancholy consisting of four tracks. On stage, they bring an effortless complexity, combining intimate vocals with a wall of sound, where folk and fuzz come together.
