CLASSICAL, POP AND ELECTRONICS COME TOGETHER AT UNUSUAL VENUE
Please note that due to the intimate setting at the venue, only a very limited number of tickets are available. This event takes place in two rounds: at 7:00 pm and 9:15 pm
On Friday, June 23, the doors of the Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd will open for one time only for a special edition of Synthesis with BEA1991 and Postland. Stroll through the hallways and settle down in one of the beautiful rooms. Admire the hand-painted Chinese wallpaper from the 18th century while the Utrecht collective Postland performs various works. Then we climb the stairs to the attic for a special show by experimental pop artist BEA1991.
BEA1991 is a unique voice within pop music. She creates deconstructed pop songs with her unique voice, supported by sound collages and alienating visuals. Her first EP (2014) has already been well received by The Guardian and played on BBC Radio, among others. BEA1991 collaborated with Blood Orange and has already done projects for Palais de Tokyo, HBO and Tommy Jeans, among others.
Postland is a Utrecht-based music collective that has been in existence since 2020. The collective focuses on programming and performing current, contemporary classical music. The five musicians of Postland have been moving for some time in the top tier of the broad European contemporary music scene, but are also rooted in other musical genres such as classical music, improvisation, world music and pop. They regularly work with musical groups such as Asko/Schönberg, Slagwerk Den Haag and Alamo Race Track.
Synthese is a musical experience where you experience the various cross-links between modern classical, electronic and pop music at unconventional locations in Utrecht.
This event takes place at Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd: Koningslaan 9, 3981 HD, Bunnik
